I know what freedom is. I know what it feels like to fight for it and I know what it costs to have it.

Tried speedpainting once again but it didn’t look very nice so I detailed it a little bit more. And then some more. And yeah I know it’s small and it’s still 100% ……

I would just like to take a quick second to discuss Steve’s face here (because I haven’t seen any discussion about it and that’s just not okay with me). Steve has lost everything he ever knew, everyone he cared about are either dead or have long moved on without him, and he’s essentially still all on his own in the 21st century at this point. He has his team, but they’re not as close as they’re going to be quite yet.
This thing, though. This strange, glowing cube that Steve used to know as a Hydra weapon. He can’t shake it off. He essentially died while stopping the Red Skull from using it to kill thousands of people, and yet when he miraculously is no longer dead, that cube is still there. Everything and everyone else is gone, but this one horrible, haunting thing is still there. How much hatred must Steve have for this thing? How bitter must he be that of all the things he has left, of all the things he would rather have back, all he gets is this cube that keeps creating cycles of violence?
