“However, it seems as if it is director Joss Whedon who most enjoyed the inclusion of Agent Coulson in the superhero ensemble due to the fact that the character takes part in some of his favourite scenes (which he wrote). “Coulson is the face of S.H.I.E.L.D in a way that Nick Fury isn’t. Nick Fury stays in the background pulling the strings, while Coulson is the guy in the trenches alongside ‘The Avengers.’ His relationship with Steve Rogers is one of my favorites. There are so many characters in this film with a dry wit, so I wanted to find some other dynamic Coulson could have with Captain America and it hit me, ‘Oh my god, he’s a fan boy!’ Giving him a man crush on Captain America not only lent itself to some of the funniest scenes, but also established the type of relationship they had, which led to the whole trading card run in the scene, which is possibly my favorite thing in the movie.” —

“I’m extremely fond of Chris Evans and I think he is one of the most underrated actors out there. I watch him and I think to myself, here is a guy who is wearing a stretchy American flag suit and I absolutely believe him. How is he doing this? The other thing I love about Chris is that he’s kind of this tough guy from Boston, but he also is a sensitive artist who really has an opinion. Our characters are very connected because Steve Rogers was close with Howard Stark and there’s something definitive and tangible about their relationship. If Steve Rogers and Tony Stark’s relationship doesn’t work, then the film doesn’t work.” —

Not to be depressing, but every time I see or read the news lately, I think, Kids, this is why you should know everything there is to know about the Holocaust, because if you think it can’t happen again, you’d be wrong. It could happen so easily in the next five years right here in our own country. There are people right now—and a whole lot of them—who would burn you alive without batting an eyelash if someone led the way and told them it was okay to do so. For no other reason than you are not white, not a man, not a Christian, or not a Republican. That might sound absurd, but my grandparents thought it was absurd, too. I’m watching these presidential rallies, and here are men who are giving a hundred million people permission to not only hate you but to blame you for x, y, and z. And to feel right and justified in doing so.

I was actually just talking to my parents last night about several facets of this. And it’s fucking terrifying. I never realized I’d be forced to face this within my lifetime.

According to the presidential front runners, if you aren’t a rich, white, male Republican, there are a lot of things wrong with you and you deserve to be punished.
